The CabClone IR PLUS is preloaded with 16 proprietary MESA cabinet impulse responses, organized into two banks of eight presets. BANK A features “LIVE” IRs captured using dynamic and ribbon microphones, while BANK B offers “STUDIO” IRs recorded with condenser and ribbon microphones. Both banks contain the same eight popular MESA cabinet models in identical order, allowing you to seamlessly compare microphone options by simply switching between BANK A and BANK B. The factory-loaded presets ensure a versatile selection of authentic MESA tones right out of the box.
The CabClone IR PLUS features a built-in attenuator, allowing you to dial in the ideal power level—whether for personal practice or a venue-appropriate setting—while maintaining the perfect sound and feel to complement your chosen cab simulation. This high-quality power attenuator enhances an already versatile tool, delivering exceptional flexibility and convenience. With four power reduction settings plus a –0dB bypass, it provides full control over your tube amp’s output, including a -16dB setting with a rheostat for infinitely adjustable volume down to complete silence. Additionally, the PLUS version includes a warning LED that alerts you to a No-Load condition when the SPKR output is active but improperly set, ensuring safe operation.
