Shipping & Returns

Once an order is placed and accepted, allow for a 48 hour handling time during the regular business week. If an order is submitted during a weekend or holiday, handling will begin with the next business day. Shipping is generally made via United Parcel Service (UPS) to a verified street address and a signature will be required to complete delivery.

Note: 2% is added to the shipping cost for insurance on EVERY order.

We stand behind each of our new products; we also stand behind the product description and selection advice offered through our web site and and by our knowledgeable staff.

Customer satisfaction is our highest priority and we understand a return or exchange may be essential to this goal. Below are Goodtime Music's terms and conditions regarding the return, refund, exchange and cancellation of ordered new merchandise through our web site along with our used gear return policy.

In-Store Purchases Policy
Items purchased in-store can be returned for in-store credit or exchange only. Sale items and/or used items are sold as-is, and not returnable. 

Returns - Web
Once delivery has been made, we offer a 48 hour approval period on web site ordered, normally stocked, new products. To return an item, you must call Goodtime Music within 48 hours of delivery to get a Return Authorization number and return shipping instructions. Returns can be made at our store, or by shipping to us.

All returns will incur a 10% restocking fee along with any order related expenses (such as shipping costs). Unauthorized returns are not acceptable. If shipping your return, the return must ship back to us within 24 hours of Return Authorization number issuance and the Return Authorization number must be clearly written on the outside of the return packaging.

A merchandise return package without a clearly visible Return Authorization number may be refused. A returned item must be received by Goodtime Music as complete, undamaged, unregistered and show no signs of wear or use; it must be in the same condition that it was shipped out.

A copy of the sales receipt must accompany the returned item along with all original unaltered packaging, complete documentation, tags, accessories, etc. Any returned item not explicitly following this policy will be subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee.

Customer is responsible for shipping charges on all returned items, both the original delivery cost and return delivery. If the item shipped free, the original delivery charge will be deducted from any refunds or credits along with any costs incurred if the returned item needs to be brought to it's original condition.

Returns are not accepted on the following items: Damaged Items, Modified Items, Special Orders, Layaway, Closeout Items, Oversize/Overweight Items, and/or specified Discontinued Items. See Used Gear below for our return policy on used items.

We realize many big box stores offer 30, 45, even 60 day return policies. That's great for the first person to buy it, but when these items are returned, most of these stores still sell these one or two month used items as new. Would you want to buy a used and gigged guitar or amp? This is why we feel that 48 hours is sufficient for you to see if it works for you, with your gear. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! 

Returning by Mail/Ship
Returned items must be sent via insured, prepaid delivery. We recommend major shipping companies like UPS or FedEx; this will ensure you can track your return package. We will not accept CODs.

Refunds and Exchanges
After the returned item has been fully inspected, accepted and inventoried for return, a refund will be issued minus a restocking fee and all applicable shipping/handling/reconditioning costs. Fees and costs may be adjusted or waived for exchanges, or items returned for store credit.

Order Cancellations
To cancel an order placed through our web site, please call us by phone at (630) 837-3733. We will make every effort to stop your order before delivery is attempted; however, we can not guarantee stop delivery when on route.

Used Gear
With regard to Used Gear and our return policy, all Used Gear (instruments and related musical products) is sold "As is" with no returns accepted. At our discretion, this policy can be subject to review on an individual case basis. Prior to purchase of any used product, please call us by phone with questions about a specific item and this policy.
